Alzheimer’s modular exhibition stand from GGS nears completion

Shell scheme graphics for Alzheimers Research UK

Finishing touches to the exhibition stand we are building for Alzheimer’s Research UK are being applied in the GGS studio. The stand, which we will be used at conferences throughout the year, including BNA 2013 (Festival of Neuroscience), The Alzheimer’s Show and the Badminton Horse Trials will be assembled on-site by  the client. This modular construction has been specially designed with self-build in mind and our clients will be coming to the studio in a couple of days to see how it all goes together. Piece of cake!

Design apprentice for GGS

Kate Pritchard on work experience at GGS

Hi, my name is Kate Pritchard and I’ve just joined GGS on an apprenticeship scheme arranged through City College Norwich. Prior to this I have been working at Curry’s and PC World (where I still work on Saturdays) but I feel that my new job is much more suited to my skills. I finished studying my A-Levels last August, my favourite subject at the sixth form college was Media Studies as it allowed me to be creative and design my own pieces of media; such as magazine covers and horror film trailers. This was great practice for me as at… Read more »

School delighted with Graphic Design fom GGS

Flicking through pages of Broadland Prospectus

Is that the sound of a trumpet blowing…? Here’s a testimonial we just received; thought I’d share it with you : ) ‘Broadland High School approached GGS last summer for their advice with the concept, design and production of the new school prospectus. The governors felt that the prospectus was the most important marketing tool available to show what the school has to offer to new parents and students. We invited Chris Ball (Director) to visit our school and found him to be professional and inspirational, with his clarity of perception of our ethos. GGS produced a prospectus that met… Read more »

Everyone’s a Winner!!

Photograph competition winner with prizes

Well… Not strictly true. In fact, only one person’s a winner, but it doesn’t make such a good title. Anyway; the winner in question is Jane Matthews who received the most votes in our Valentine’s I ♥ U Photo competition with her wedding day photograph which we have printed up for her as a 20 x 16″ canvas wrap as part of her prize.  She also received a fabulous box of Hazelnut Chocolate Truffles from local manufacturer Booja Booja in Brooke and an exquisite bottle of Moutard Pere et fils Rose Champagne from HarperWells in Eaton. Congratulations Jane! Don’t eat/drink it… Read more »

Giving it LARGE in Poland

Office Hallway with blue wave graphic on walls

When a client asks if we do big prints (to which we say ‘yes’ of course) we can never be sure just how big they have in mind. So when Agile Marketing asked if we could produce bespoke printed wallpaper, big enough to cover whole walls, we got quite excited… and said ‘yes’ again.   This was for their client, Space-pod, who had designed and refurbished a building in Krackow, Poland, as a new call centre. Virtually every wall, on several floors, needed to have a graphic covering and we produced nearly 300 sq metres of smooth, hard wearing, wallcovering,… Read more »

Christmas tubing

GGS team building exercise

Rather than just going for a standard Christmas meal, the powers that be (Me, Pete and Dunc… well… mainly Dunc in this case) decided that it would be a good idea to start the evening off with a bit of tubing at the Norfolk Snowsports Club on Whitlingham Lane. ‘What on earth is tubing?’, I hear you ask – as did most of the staff. Basically it’s nothing more than travelling at speed from the top of the ski slope to the bottom, but instead of having to stand up on a couple of planks (too energetic) you get to… Read more »

Experience counts

Experienced photographer award

Our Director/Photographer, Peter, has just received an award from our professional body, the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP for short). The citation says – ‘This is in recognition of 40 years in membership, throughout which he has consistently upheld the aims and standards of the Institute’. That’s a lot of photographs! More to the point, the BIPP is the professional qualifying body for photographers and Peter has been closely involved with promoting the highest standards of photography and professionalism over the years. Even to the extent that at one stage he was elected as National President of the BIPP… Read more »

Seasonal giveaway by GGS

GGS handing out leaflets at exhibition

At this week’s Norwich Business Breakfast, run by Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, GGS ran a ‘Spot the Difference’ competition for everyone attending. It was a Christmas themed, fun, event attended by over 70 guests so we thought it was a good opportunity to bring some good cheer to three lucky winners.   Seen here, Caroline Williams, CEO of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, draws the first prize winner for us, accompanied by Photography Director, Peter Griffin ABIPP. The first prize was £250 worth of professional photography, to help the winner kick-start their 2013 marketing campaign. This, along with a bottle… Read more »
