Experience counts

Experienced photographer award

Our Director/Photographer, Peter, has just received an award from our professional body, the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP for short). The citation says – ‘This is in recognition of 40 years in membership, throughout which he has consistently upheld the aims and standards of the Institute’. That’s a lot of photographs! More to the point, the BIPP is the professional qualifying body for photographers and Peter has been closely involved with promoting the highest standards of photography and professionalism over the years. Even to the extent that at one stage he was elected as National President of the BIPP… Read more »

Seasonal giveaway by GGS

GGS handing out leaflets at exhibition

At this week’s Norwich Business Breakfast, run by Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, GGS ran a ‘Spot the Difference’ competition for everyone attending. It was a Christmas themed, fun, event attended by over 70 guests so we thought it was a good opportunity to bring some good cheer to three lucky winners.   Seen here, Caroline Williams, CEO of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, draws the first prize winner for us, accompanied by Photography Director, Peter Griffin ABIPP. The first prize was £250 worth of professional photography, to help the winner kick-start their 2013 marketing campaign. This, along with a bottle… Read more »

Classic Beauty web design

Interior of a classic car

Even if you’re not a petrol head you’ll appreciate the undeniable beauty of a classic car. Well, Peter was in seventh heaven recently when he was photographing the workshops of Classic Car Restorations. The photographs will be used on a new web site we are building for them at the moment and amongst the cars recently completed was this lovely Triumph Spitfire, which will shortly be going to it’s owner overseas. It was immaculate, with a fully refurbished body and interior. They are working on a variety of vehicles at the moment, from a Bedford camper van to a… Read more »

GGS exhibit at Unlocking Success

B2B presentation

GGS have taken a stand at The Chamber of Commerce conference ‘Unlocking Success’aimed at giving local businesses the opportunity to find out how to maximize the success of their businesses and giving a platform to a host of inspirational and recognized national and local keynote speakers from Industry and Government. This event attracts representatives from many of the top companies in the region, all of whom can benefit from the professional photography, design, web and exhibition services we offer. We aren’t sure that they are aware of that (!) so we want to put them right.

Wow! This is so …*

Hamlin electronics exhibition stand

*This stand was so sexy that Google wouldn’t allow us to put it in the title. Electronica, the world’s leading trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications opened its doors in Munich on November 13th, and Team GGS were on site over the weekend building a 36 sq meter stand for global electronic sensor manufacturer ‘Hamlin’ who are based at Broadland Business Park in Norwich.  Hamlin are a long standing client of ours who have been using our photography and design as part of their marketing collateral for many years. They know they can rely on us to do… Read more »

Using professional photographs on your website

Professional shot close-up of blue eye

You’re already aware that a good website is an all-important marketing tool for a business, but what makes it good? An appealing look and feel for one thing, so you wouldn’t want to put your site visitors off with fuzzy, badly lit photographs would you? You could have the best website design in the world, but it would be ruined by using poor photographs. Worry not though, because there’s help to hand! We are on a mission to save good website design by complementing it with only the very best in professional photography – to showcase our clients’ products and/or… Read more »

Field of Dreams

Design of Zennyo website

If you build it they will come – we took this literally and see what happened! The original quote form the movie ‘Field of Dreams’ was ‘If you build it he will come’ but you’ll forgive us at GGS for the slight change to suit our needs! Our business continues to grow and continues to seek innovations for our clients that will really make them stand out from the crowd. The latest example of this approach is Zennyo.com which is well worth a look, not just because GGS designed and built it but because Zennyo can be a great benefit… Read more »

A right result, all round!

Stand sketch for client

Following our successful October e-shot campaign  ‘Are you planning an exhibition, conference or product launch?’ we were delighted to be contacted by the London HQ of national charity Scope regarding the design, production and installation of a small exhibition stand for the NCAS Conference in Eastbourne (24 – 26th October). Like many clients they had an idea which needed to be turned into reality and, inspired by our e-shot which popped out of the ether at just the right moment, they gave us a call. To tie in with their current marketing campaign ‘the four ingredients for a better outcome’… Read more »

Wicked Work Experience!

Work experience student at GGS

Hello, my name is Georgia Skipper, and I am currently doing a week work experience with GGS. It turns out that those Monday morning nerves weren’t actually needed, as once I had been introduced to everyone, I quickly realised how lovely and welcoming the place and the people in it are. Meaning that those nerves rapidly changed into excitement for my week ahead in the world of the working environment. As I am currently still at school studying for my GCSE’s, I’ve never really done any work outside of those. So this week is my first real taste working outside… Read more »

A great day at the Norfolk & Norwich Chamber of Commerce B2B exhibition.

GGS Exhibition stand

Yesterday, we took an exhibition stand again at the B2B exhibition, basically as a ‘flag-waving’ opportunity, but were amazed at the number of visitors and level of interest in our services. We were rushed off our feet all morning with new enquiries and meeting some existing clients. Ours was a fairly simple exhibition stand using our Vario D400 pop-up system, to which we added a custom made desk attached at the side. Whilst we didn’t expect to win ‘best stand’ yet again (*smug grin) for such a simple stand, it was the design of our graphics that set us apart… Read more »
